Peranakan Cultural Night 2010

Hi Everyone! I would like to extend an invitation you to attend our next function which is the "Peranakan Cultural Night" on Saturday 24 April, 2010. A flyer is attached for your perusal. The Peranankan Cultural Night displays the rich Peranakan heritage with guests - women coming dressed in sarong kebaya and traditional baju a typical costume and men in their batik shirts. Guests will be introduced to the Peranakan culture through songs and dance performances with the Peranakan atmosphere at the party. The culture night will be not be complete without the traditional assortment of kuehs and spicy food buffet followed by a cooking demonstration by Prima Taste of a Nonya product and an opportunity for guests to purchase Prima Taste Products on the night. I can assure you of an evening of "joket gelek". See you there! A Message From The New Club President

Dear Members

I feel so privileged and honoured, yet at the same time humbled, at being elected President of the Singapore Club of Queensland. My involvement with the Club goes back many years, therefore it is a humbling experience to be at the helm and to also face the reality of having the responsibility of steering the club to another successful year. I look forward to the challenges that lay ahead of me.

No Organisation will be able to function successfully without a supporting team of players, and I feel privileged to introduce this special group of people, who have been elected into Office, and are happy to volunteer their valuable time to lead Your Club, The Singapore Club of Queensland, into another successful year.
